It is the accumulation of every person who calls it home. God is at work in the community of Hope Church and we want you to feel welcome. Hope Church of the Nazarene has been serving the Vista, California community since 1954. Over 1,200 people visit our ministry campus on a weekly basis, Hope Church is a multi-generational, family-oriented church with high goals to increase fellowship in the Vista area.

Meet the Pastor
Pastor Matthew Palm was born in Santa Cruz, California, the oldest son of Reverend and Mrs. Steven Palm.
Bachelor of Religion from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1997.
Graduate Studies, Point Loma Nazarene University.
He served as the youth pastor and associate pastor at Vista Hope Church from 1991 to 1997.
From 1997-2005 he served congregations as Senior Pastor in Banning, California and Sterling, Colorado.
In November of 2005 he returned to Vista Hope Church of the Nazarene as the Senior Pastor.
He is the blessed father of three boys, David, Stephen (Jamey), and Jason and proud husband of wife Melissa.
His hobbies are sailing, music, writing and volleyball.

You can see our church from HWY 78. We have a sign that spells HOPE on the lawn.
About our ministry campus
Hope church is located at 1755 Thibodo Road, right off the 78, between the Sycamore and Mar Vista off-ramps, in Vista, California.
Part of our almost 15 acre ministry campus overlooks the Pacific Ocean, just 6 miles away. We have many amenities on the property including a softball field, volleyball courts, hiking trails, and a children’s playground area. Hope church was originally built in the 1960’s but has been extensively remodeled over the last several years.
One of the landmarks along the 78 freeway is the large sign that spells HOPE on our front lawn.

Upcoming Events
Kid's Day Camp 2009 - Crocodile Dock
This July 19th - 24th, from 6:00 to 8:30pm, we are having our summer Kid's Day Camp and Vacation Bible School.
At Crocodile Dock, kids will keep an eye out for “God in action” in their everyday lives—and they’ll discover how they can be a God Sighting by showing Christ’s love. Your children will develop a sense of God’s loving presence. And they’ll know God is alive…and active…and with them.

3rd Annual Volleyball Tournament
Sign-up to play in our 3rd Annual Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, July 25th, and join us for a day of fun in the sun. There is a $10 entry fee for each 5-man team, and sign-ups start at 9:30am. The games will begin at 10:00am at Hope Church's volleyball field. Each team required to have a female player and all players must be 15 years of age or older.

Super Soaker Saturday
July 25th from noon to 3pm, join our teens (and some older folks) as we slip and slide down a 40 foot waterslide! There will be a barbecue lunch for sale, as well as other yummy snacks.
